I love my couch!

So today I'm linking up with Parajunkee and Alison for the Friday Feature and Follow hop. This week's features are Oh! For the Love of Books and Ezine of a Random Girl.

This week's Question is an activity too, or would be if I actually had a picture to post. "Post a picture or describe your favorite place to read."

Favorite Place #1 is my couch. I have a very comfy couch and there is good light in my living room. I love to swing my feet onto the sofa and lean back against the cushy arm with a fuzzy blanket.

Favorite Place #2 is my bed. Like a lot of people I read until I fall asleep most nights. I can get all snuggled up under the blankets and prop myself up with pillows. It's nice to read at night because there isn't a lot going on in my complex and there are less noises to distract me :) Also, I only drink hot tea before I go to bed at night, so it's nice to sip my tea while I read when everything is quiet.

Hmm, sounds like place #2 is really  #1, no?

I am a big fan of Brantley Gilbert. I really love his music. I'm also a big fan of Dave Barnes and I think that not enough people know who he is. So definitely check those guys out!

Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all of your family and friends?

I think I would have to say everyone should read The Poisonwood Bible. I would love to give that to my family and friends to read. It was such a good book with so many great messages in it.

I haven't been too bad this year. As long as you ignore New Year's Eve, My Birthday, and that Halloween party the other week. I've done some really good things this year and I think that maybe I deserve a few things. A list of household items and clothing will be sent separately, but this letter is to address the issue of books. There are a few that I simply must have!

Q. If you could pick one character in a book, movie or TV show to swap places with, who would it be?

I would love to switch places with Parker from Nora Roberts's Bride Quartet. She was gorgeous with her own business and a hottie on a bike chasing after her heart. * Sigh *

I also wouldn't  mind trading places with Kathleen in 'You've Got Mail'! I've always wanted to own my bookstore!

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

That's a good question. What book hasn't been turned into a movie yet? Lol, I had a conversation with a friend the other day and we decided that there must be a serious deficit in screen-play writers these days. Every time I turn around another movie is based on a book.

Not that I'm complaining. Books usually have the best storylines!

So the question, yeah. I'd have to say The Three Sister's Island Trilogy again. I really loved those books. They had a whimsical 'Practical Magic' feel to them.

This Week's Question!

If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

Such a good question! I had to think about it, but I would want to be written in to the Three Sister's Island Trilogy by Nora Roberts. I was in love with Mia Devlin's life. She owns a bookstore cafe and she has some kick-ass magical powers!

Since the question isn't who I want to be (I want to be Mia) but how I want to be written in, I would want to be her sister and business partner, helping to run the bookstore with kick-ass powers of my own!

"How have your reading habits changed since you were a teen? Or, if you are still a teen what genres are you in love with currently?"

When I was a teenager I devoured romance novels. I was always reading and I even got scolded for not putting the books down long enough for dinner or other family events.

Now that I'm older I still love romance novels, but my interests have expanded to include mysteries, dramas, and other fiction categories. I like to read as many different categories as I can these days.
