My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this novel. This novel was about three grown women whose paths crossed in college and they have gone on to live very different lives. They share a dangerous secret though, and one of them has more to lose than the others if that secret were to ever come to light.
This book was written in short chapters and we shift between the points of view of these three women. It was a very quick read and I very much enjoyed it. I was a little surprised by the resolution, but I was satisfied with it. My only regret was to not understand more about the character of Jude. I felt as though perhaps there was some kind of mental illness or personality disorder that lead to her actions and behavior, but I never could figure out exactly what it was. Albeit we did learn about her childhood, and perhaps that was supposed to be our explanation.
A quick, engaging read, this novel shows us what happens when a woman is brave enough to do what many want to, and the effect of that decision on her life as well as those around her.
