Follow Friday (3)

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This week's question:

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

That's a good question. What book hasn't been turned into a movie yet? Lol, I had a conversation with a friend the other day and we decided that there must be a serious deficit in screen-play writers these days. Every time I turn around another movie is based on a book.

Not that I'm complaining. Books usually have the best storylines!

So the question, yeah. I'd have to say The Three Sister's Island Trilogy again. I really loved those books. They had a whimsical 'Practical Magic' feel to them.

Cast:

Mia Devlin
Book Store Owner, Fiesty Red-head, and of course, powerful witch
Kate Walsh

Sam Logan
Mia's long ago lover, very hunky. Also magical
Aaron Eckhart

Ripley Todd
Sheriff's Deputy, Loyal Friend, Reluctant Witch
Sandra Bullock

MacAllister Booke
Hunky Researcher of the paranormal. A little awkward, and totally crazy about Ripley
Kevin Costner

Nell Channing
Woman on the run from an abusive husband, phenomenal cook, and new witch on the Island
Melissa George

Zach Todd
Sherrif, Brother to Ripley, with a soft spot for the new girl in town.
Joaquin Phoenix

  1. I loved the Three Sisters Trilogy! Magical Realism like that is my favorite subgenre. I only recently found out that Practical
Magic was a book! Had to read it and recently posted a review on my site!

I'm glad to have hopped over here--I'm a new follower now:) Seems like we have similar tastes:)

  2. I actually just ran into a similar conversation the other day about books being made into movies! They're everywhere! I haven't read the Three Sisters Trilogy but I love magic, so it's probably worth adding to my TBR list. You're lucky! Every time I tried to think of even a single actress for my FF I just blanked out and couldn't think of anyone.
